Restaurants and generative AI to create more attractive menus

In addition to writing articles, creating recipes and illustrations of all kinds, artificial intelligence reached restaurants. These establishment owners are using generative artificial intelligence to recreate food images for their digital menus. It was Nabeel Alamgir, CEO of restaurant technology startup Lunchbox, who recently introduced a free AI-generated dish photo generator. This with the help of OpenAI, the firm behind the viral ChatGPT bot. Lunchbox is the restaurant management software company that works with around 200 brands and created the tool using OpenAI’s DALL-E text-to-image tool.

Regarding this innovation

Alamgir noted that Lunchbox pays OpenAI a “small fee” per consultation. According to Business Insider, since its launch on January 19, LunchBox has generated 175 million AI photos, it said. However, it has not been possible to track which restaurants or brands are using the tool. How does generating Oman Phone Number Data photos with Lunchbox work? Lunchbox works in the same way as ChatGPT. Thus, users describe what they are looking for to generate content, in this case, a photo of food. In a test of the platform, Insider asked you to create an image of “a blue cheese and bacon burger” on a “brown” background.

After processing the request

That was complicated for the bot, four images were produced. A burger with light blue buns, giving them a moldy appearance. Another image showed an artisan-looking Philippine Phone Number burger with a thick slice of blue cheese. LunchBox CEO Alamgir noted that using artificial intelligence to generate photos of food is aimed at helping restaurants increase sales. He made this statement based on data from Grubhub, which indicates that restaurants that add images to their menu items receive more than 70% more orders and 65% more sales compared to restaurants that do not do so. “We launched this free generator to provide small and new restaurants access to the same tools that larger platforms offer for a fee,” Alamgir said.
