Want to make a sales career fast?

Imagine: you are a woman in your mid-40s, working in Brabant (Breda), in a managerial support role at a club where commercial success of customers and employees is the driving force. You have been working there for 15 years and have held various positions. You are surrounded by mainly commercially ambitious twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings who are all pursuing a great career in sales. Nothing strange about that at first glance. But make no mistake, sometimes it can be quite a struggle.

I myself lack those commercial antennae sales career fast

According to my direct manager, although I dare to dispute that a little. I am clearly an outsider in this club. Not because of my age, but because I am on another planet. Not on their planet in any case; the planet of the commercial sales heroes.

Anyway, here I am, in a company building philippines phone number library in Breda, in an office garden on the 2nd floor, among fast, ambitious (mainly) young men who work hard every day as an extension of the sales engine of our customers. Who fearlessly go out on the road, knowing that they are an acceleration of that engine. Competitive, most of them sporty and self-confident and all of them with a healthy ambition to get further. And in support of that I stand, together with my unit, which includes the recruitment of these heroes.

On the floor where they all sit

There is a mutual competition. On a TV screen on the what is b2b marketing? strategies and trends (2025) wall in our office garden, the name of this week’s conversion star is displayed. They all commit themselves to the challenges of our customers, no matter how difficult. Tough, and admirable, that attitude of ‘rolling up your sleeves’ and going. Always wanting to score. If it doesn’t work, then fine-tune and above all, in contact with the customer, learn together and together accelerate towards that commercial success of the customer, but also of themselves. And that pays off, as has been proven. One hero after another here takes a step forward and goes to work on the customer’s location. They are gone, inspired by their predecessors and as an inspiration for those who will follow.

It’s great, not only promising but also delivering sales career fast

The development of young talent. But not for people like me: too fast, too dynamic. I deviate from this crowd, I’m different. I don’t go on a rampage like a young dog, I prefer not to germany business directory call too much and I’m a soloist. And I like to hold on to old and familiar. And that’s difficult in this environment, where there’s always room for new heroes and where (relatively) old heroes quickly grow outside. I’m used to one hero, the next one is already in service, and I get used to that next one, then that one is already taking a step forward. And my department is just chasing new heroes.
